Shana Alexander Charitable Trust

Once again we have been honored to receive an extremely generous grant from the Shana Alexander Charitable Trust. This grant was established by the late Shana Alexander, a wonderful journalist, author and television personality. We are humbled to the Trustees for awarding us with this continuing and most substantial grant. It is with your continued generosity and support that we continue the lifesaving mission we hold so dear to our hearts.

We at Shepherds Hope Rescue send out a HUGE “THANK YOU” to the folks at

Adopt-A -Pet for their generous veterinary grant. We now have the ability to address medical issues that we were not financially able to. We are so grateful for having received this grant.

A volunteer Organization at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter

We would like to send our enthusiastic appreciation and gratitude to The Shelter Connection, a wonderful organization that helps animals at the North Hempstead Animal Shelter receive the extra medical care they need to become healthy adoptable pets. In their Holiday 2011 newsletter they asked their supporters to “pay donations forward” to three worthy animal groups. Shepherds Hope Rescue was lucky to be one of them! Through their supporters they were able to send Shepherds Hope Rescue a check for $495. We are so lucky and grateful to the Shelter Connection for their wonderful and thoughtful gift.
